Scott & Ensoll is primarily a structural steel fabrication and engineering firm with value adding internal services comprising abrasive blasting, industrial protective coatings, drafting services, rigging and site management services. Scott & Ensoll is committed to providing quality services to the construction and engineering sectors in an environmentally responsible manner.
Scott & Ensoll will continue to invest in new technologies to improve our environmental performance and continue our research and development into the feasibility of using emerging technologies to augment our existing systems.
Scott & Ensoll will continue to improve the environmental performance of its activities by reducing air emissions, water and energy consumption and waste generation and by improving our recycling programs.
Scott & Ensoll has an enviable reputation of working cooperatively with government, industry and the community with the mutual aim of working towards achieving excellence in all areas of environmental management.
Scott & Ensoll will comply with all legal requirements, as a minimum.
Scope
This policy applies to all Scott & Ensoll employees and contractors.
Objectives
Scott & Ensoll is committed to continually improving environmental performance through the development of and investment in its people, systems and physical plant.
People:
- Committed leadership to promote an organizational culture of environmental responsibility
- Develop the expertise of our people through education and training
- Work with suppliers and contractors who demonstrate high standards of environmental management and performance
- Transparently communicate with stakeholders, including government and community, on environmental matters.
Systems:
- Apply reasonable management processes which minimize the environmental effects of our activities
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce pollution and waste, use water and energy efficiently, and address systems to control ongoing recycling of internal waste
- Assess the environmental externalities associated with business activities
Physical Plant:
- Investigate and invest in environmentally, socially and economically feasible, new and alternative technologies
- Asses and, where feasible, mitigate the effects of new plant or changes to existing plant
- Monitor the effects of our activities on the natural environment and develop action plans to manage these effects

Quality Assurance Policy Statement
As a primary obligation, Scott & Ensoll is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of our clients by the capable implementation of a tried and proven Quality Management System. This is achieved by:
- Complying with statutory obligations, standards, specifications and codes of practice relevant to quality management
- Maintaining, monitoring, reviewing, auditing and continually improving the Quality Management System consistent with certification requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008
- Providing sufficient and suitable resources to implement and maintain the Quality Management System
- Engaging suitably qualified, skilled, and experienced people
- Educating and training in order to continually improve the skills of our people, awareness and knowledge of quality issues and practices
- Identifying, reporting, investigating and resolving all non-conformances and taking action to prevent recurrence
- Establishing, reviewing and communicating performance measures and taking action to improve outcomes
Monitoring and evaluating the quality performance of consultants, subcontractors and suppliers and implementing effective communication with them on quality and compliance issues.
